Day 1: Arrive at the Los Mochis Airport where you will meet your bilingual guide. Transfer to the wonderful, colonial town of El Fuerte. You will be lodging at Hotel El Fuerte, a captivatingly beautiful historic, 200 year old mansion.

Day 2: After breakfast, we will be taken to the train station, to board the “Chepe” train, the only passenger/tour train in all Mexico! This day’s train travel includes some of the very most spectacular of the entire train ride. You will be going past beautiful waterways, and climbing up into the rocky pine forests.
Our destination today is the mountain village of Cerocahui and our lodging at the comfortable and rustic Hotel Paraiso del Oso (Paradise of the Bear), a very peaceful place to enjoy nature! The evening is free to explore the area; you can take some easy hikes around the Oso!

Day 3: This will be a surprising day. You will admire the Deepest Canyon in this complex of Canyons, “The Urique Canyon”. You will not only go to the rim and see its magnificent views, but also you will drive down to the mining town of Urique. This will be very adventurous! You will also visit Cerocahui village and its Jesuit Mission from the 17th Century! We will be at the Oso, in time to relax and have dinner!

Day 4: The morning is free to relax or explore one more time this beautiful valley! Be ready at 11:30 AM to go back to the train station and get back on the “Chepe” to our next destination, Creel. This former logging town was once the stopping point for the railway coming from Chihuahua.
Our lodging will be at the Parador de la Montaña, a nice and well known hotel in Creel. After your check in, you will walk around the town and visit the Tarahumara Museum.

Day 5: After breakfast, our driver will pick us up and take us to Guachochi, famous for its delicious, fresh rainbow trout. We will stop at some overlooks from some canyons and rivers and we will also go through very picturesque towns and have lunch along the way.
You will have a refreshing experience after you check into the modern Hotel Melina. A short break will follow. A little later, we will drive for half an hour to see the La Sinforosa canyon, called “the Canyon’s Queen”, which is the second deepest canyon in the area!
Enjoy the sunset over this beautiful canyon! We will comeback in time for dinner at “Los Adobes” restaurant, a very colorful and cozy restaurant! Their specialty is the local trout.
After dinner we invite you, if you are not too tired to stroll around the Lago de las Garzas “Egret Lake”.

Day 6: In the morning, after breakfast, we have an optional visit to the Radio Station from Guachochi, where they are projecting information, songs, music in 5 different languages including Spanish, Raramuri, Odami or Warojio & Tepehuano. This radio has been in operation since 1981, helping to preserve the indigenous languages.
On the way back to Creel, we will stop at the homestead of Cusarare, to visit an old mission from the 16th Century; there is also a very impressive Museum “Loyola” with oil paintings from the 17th & 18th Centuries. This will be a very interesting stop. Just 10 minutes away, an extraordinary lodging experience awaits! The Sierra Lodge hotel, you will love it!
This hotel is lit by kerosene lamps and heated by woodstoves. Yet, be prepared to experience the luxury within the simplicity of this rustic and unique hotel right in the woods! Lunch will be ready after we check in!
The evening will be free to relax or, if you like hiking, we can go to the Cusarare waterfall, a two hour round trip hike from the hotel. You will certainly enjoy a delightful dinner; the food is excellent!

Day 7: After a good breakfast we will be transferred to the train station to catch our eastbound train and return to El Fuerte and back to Hotel El Fuerte. Lunch will be on the train. While we are leaving these beautiful canyons the sunset will give us another opportunity for great pictures and a relaxing time! Enjoy a delicious dinner, at your hotel!

Day 8: Breakfast will be our last meal in our package and according to your flight Schedule you will be transferred to the Los Mochis Airport.
